FASSET is the Finance and Accounting Services Sector Education and Training Authority and they seek to place learners from public TVET Colleges with employers like the South African Sugar Association (SASA) who is in the FASSET sector. SASA provides a range of specialist services that enhance the profitability, global competitiveness and sustainability of the South African sugar industry. This is an 18 month in-service training opportunity for learners that have completed N6 Financial Management/Business Management or Management Assistant at a TVET college. The successful learner would be based at our offices in Mount Edgecombe or at the South African Sugar Terminal in Maydon Warf. The learner will be working in an open plan office together with other colleagues and will be assigned to a mentor for the full duration of his/her training. The requirements are as follows: • Learners must be Black African in line with FASSET’s strategic transformation objectives • South African citizens will be considered • Learners need to have successfully completed the theory component (N4, N5 and N6 certificates) • The minimum average pas percentage should be 50% • Good verbal and written communication skills Closing Date: 15 January 2021 Selection is based primarily on academic merit and applicants will undergo a selection process, which includes assessments and panel interviews.
