Introduction
Reporting directly to the Financial Planning Manager, the Management Accounting Officer is responsible for the following key deliverables:
• Drafting, consolidation and administration of budgets, including the monthly monitoring of budget variances;
• Annual budget preparation and monthly controls, in close consultation with Departmental Managers in the division and with internal stakeholders;
• Monthly budget administration including advice to managers regarding effective budget utilization;
• Ensuring that relevant financial information is conveyed timeously and accurately to the Director in a logical and understandable format, in accordance to the accepted SASA templates.
• Continuous assessment of business risk and good corporate governance practices in accordance with the financial policies and procedures of the South African Sugar Association.

Essential for this role:
· National Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance or Financial Accounting;
· A minimum of two years budget administration experience in a medium to large organisation;
· A proven track record in a financial environment with a thorough understanding of financial, cost and management accounting practices and procedures ;
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Proficiency in MS Office;
· Proficiency in Syspro, SAP or equivalent.
